Ready to Build on Your Success?

We’re Here to Help You Transition Your Business from Franchisee to Independent Frozen Yogurt Shop

Step 1:  Sample the high quality mixes, flavorings and supplies available to order at our online store www.FroCup.com

Step 2:  Review your franchise license agreement for terms of ending the agreement. Typically franchises require all signage, marketing and branding to be removed and may require an inside color scheme change.

Step 3:  Make a supplier list of sources for each item you were getting from your corporate franchise supplier. Compare pricing and lead times for your new sources to those of your current franchise supplier. FroCup.com can help you with the following:

  • Equipment and replacement parts for wearable blades and o-rings
  • Sanitizer and lube
  • Cups (pre-printed or custom)
  • Spoons, lids, straws, dividers, etc.
  • Frozen yogurt mix
  • Flavorings
  • Smoothies
  • Smoothie boosters
  • Flavor cards and poster downloads
  • POS
  • Limited dry toppings (your best source for toppings is probably local)
  • Advice and training

Step 4:  Try a few of the Nanci’s mixes and flavors in your store for a limited time and see if your customers notice.

Step 5:  Get feedback from some of your most loyal customers to ask them if they would continue to support your shop if you drop the franchise name.

Step 6:  Get creative. Think of a brand name and hire a designer to make a logo (you can find an inexpensive designer on www.Fiverr.com). Then contact a local sign company for quotes on swapping out the old franchise signage.

Step 7:  Refresh your concept by adding to the menu or improving the customer experience. (for example… some stores are moving away from the weigh and pay format and embracing the flat rate per cup for improved customer satisfaction, or maybe it would be cool to add a waffle or nacho bar…)

Step 8:  Talk to your landlord to potentially negotiate more favorable lease terms and get approval if needed for the change.

Step 9:  For more information, see Nanci’s blog post by clicking here.

Step 10:  By the time you’ve reached this step, you already know what you need to do.  Follow your heart!
